SURVIORS SUPPORTING SURVIORS

Our Story

The National Alliance of Domestic Violence Survivors (NADVS) is a nationwide nonprofit based in Rhode Island that is led by and for survivors to support each other in navigating the long-term impacts of abuse after reaching safety.

Survivors of the Alliance understand that once the immediate danger has passed, we need support and safe healing spaces to re-build, re-claim, and grow with community who truly understand what it means to navigate and heal. You don’t have to do it alone; we are here as survivors to empower one another!

About

NADVS provides long-term, post-safety, peer-based support for survivors of domestic violence in honor of the value, dignity, and worth inherent in every survivor.

As we stand in solidarity, firmly rooted in both personal strength and collective power, we work to create a world where survivors are safe, believed, respected, and empowered to lead.

Our Mission

We organize long-term, peer-led support to survivors of domestic violence after safety, reducing isolation and fostering connection, empowerment, and prevention through survivor leadership.
